Solar Energy

Solar is not about panels.

It is about changing where your electricity comes from, reducing exposure to long-term utility costs, and choosing a strategy designed around your home—it's about energy independence and financial freedom.

What solar can do

Produce electricity at your home.
Reduce or eliminate electricity purchased from the utility.
Improve long-term cost predictability.
Create an energy-producing home asset.

What solar does not do

Eliminate every utility charge.
Guarantee backup during an outage without storage.
Work equally well on every roof.
Make financial sense for every homeowner.
How Solar Works

Sunlight becomes usable electricity for your home.

1. Sunlight

Solar panels capture sunlight and create direct-current electricity.

2. Inverters

Inverters convert that energy into electricity your home can use.

3. Your Home

Your home uses solar energy before purchasing electricity from the grid.

4. The Grid

Excess energy generates utility credits under Net Metering programs.

Ownership & Payment

There is more than one way to go solar.

Cash, financed ownership, leases and prepaid structures each have different costs, responsibilities and long-term tradeoffs.

Ownership

Purchase the system directly or finance it over time while retaining ownership benefits from day one.

Prepaid Structures

25% - 35% incentive right off the top. Pay most or all of the lease value upfront—6-year path to ownership ($99 or less).

Monthly Lease

Pay for solar energy through a structured lease agreement, with equipment service and warranty included. Fixed payment and adjustable payment options available.

Battery Backup

Backup power starts with priorities.

A battery is not simply an accessory to solar. It is a resilience system that must be sized around the loads you need, how long you want them supported, and how your home uses energy.

Outage Backup

Automatically supports selected circuits when utility power is interrupted.

Solar Recharging

When conditions allow, solar can recharge the battery during an extended outage.

Energy Management

Stored energy may also be used strategically under certain rate structures.

Essential-load backup

Focuses battery power on selected circuits such as refrigeration, lighting, internet, heating controls, medical equipment and other priorities.

Whole-home backup

Can support a broader range of loads, but usually requires more battery capacity, careful load management and realistic expectations. EV charging and pool heating are generally excluded from standard backup planning due to high energy demand.

Tesla Power Wall 3 & Enphase IQ Battery 10C

Both are industry-leading batteries. The right fit depends on your site conditions, solar design, backup priorities, and monitoring preferences.

Custom System Design

Your roof is not a template.

System size, panel placement, shading, roof condition, electrical equipment, usage history and future needs all affect the right design. We pull 12 months of utility history, conduct a site evaluation, and model 3D roof geometry before you see a single number.

What we evaluate

Roof age, condition and orientation
Sun exposure and shading patterns

Equipment & Warranties

Your system is as good as its parts—and its warranty.

Equipment selected for performance, reliability and long-term protection. We prioritize proven manufacturers, quality modules, strong warranties, sleek all-black aesthetics, Enphase microinverter technology, and clear monitoring—a system that can be understood, serviced and protected over time. All systems include 25-30yr manufacturer warranties on equipment plus 30-year installation warranty.

Panels

Rated for Long Island wind loads and snow accumulation. 25-30 yr Performance Warranties and 25-30 yr Product Warranties.

We select from top-tier manufacturers based on your roof, budget, and aesthetic preferences—including sleek all-black options for a cleaner look.

Participate Discount

A pre-paid lease option offering 25-35% off for solar, roofing, and battery systems. You get the discount right off the top, with a 6-year path to ownership if you choose it.

If you thought you missed the best time to go solar when the federal tax credit went away, think again. There's a new program that's changing the math:

25%-35% of system cost discounted upfront (no tax filing required)
Eligible for NY State tax credit (up to $5,000)
No ongoing lease payments
Option to purchase after year 6
Immediate savings on your electric bill

For many homeowners, this significantly lowers the cost to get started—and this option can outperform traditional cash purchases due to the reduced upfront cost.
