One Town, one village.
Almost the entire North Fork east of Riverhead is permitted by the Town of Southold. The Village of Greenport runs its own building department. We confirm the right office and handle the paperwork either way. Homes in a designated historic district also go through that district's review, which we coordinate with the permit office for approval.

Greenport is the Town's only incorporated village, with its own building department. We file there for Greenport addresses and confirm the timeline up front.
Laurel & Fishers Island
Laurel is split with the Town of Riverhead. Fishers Island, reached by ferry from New London, is part of the Town of Southold. We confirm your office before we file.
Every project, in any town, also needs PSEG Long Island interconnection approval before installation, then a final inspection and Permission to Operate (PTO) from PSEG Long Island before the system turns on. We handle all of the paperwork and coordination with PSEG Long Island. Install day itself is fast: most solar installs take one day, larger systems one to two days, and systems with battery backup two to three days. A roof replacement or a heat pump install each typically takes one day.

Design-sensitive installs
Farmhouses, historic homes and waterfront cottages are judged by how they look from the road. We plan clean, symmetrical layouts, use all-black panels where they suit the home, keep conduit tidy, and prepare the drawings any review asks for.

Farm country and larger lots often have space for a ground-mounted array, which keeps panels off the roof, faces them due south and makes service easy.
Solar and heat pumps
Many homes here heat with oil or propane, and fuel prices have climbed sharply. A heat pump replaces most of that fuel burn with electricity, and solar makes that electricity yours. PSEG Long Island offers heat pump rebates, and you can keep your oil or gas system as backup and still qualify. We size the solar and the heat pump together, so your panels are built for the load you'll actually have.

Often, yes, especially on North Fork farm and vineyard properties. A ground mount can face due south, avoid roof shade and keep panels off a historic home.
Will solar look right on an older farmhouse?
That's our goal. We plan clean, symmetrical layouts, use all-black panels where they suit the house, and keep conduit tidy. A ground mount can keep panels off the house entirely.
